All about Mikes Dies Inc. Mike White founded Mikes Dies in 1972 in his basement located in Westminster. Learning as he went and with the help of his customers learned all about steel rule die making as a true trade skill. Die making went hand in hand with his packaging designer job with a major company. Mikes Dies became a family business as soon as his twin sons could help out drilling, inserting ejection material and cleaning up around the shop.  1989 Mikes Dies moved to its current building and also expanding its capabilities to make 66” rotary dies. In 1990 Mike’s son Chad  entered the die making business full time. In 2011 Mikes Dies purchased an SDS Easy Bender to improve its die making. It allows us to make dies faster, more accurate, and with less waste. In 2012 MDI purchased a cnc machine to cut the die boards, and in 2013 purchased their second CNC with an ATC to speed up the cutting process.
